Geemarc PHOTODECT Big Button Cordless Telephone with One Touch Photo ID Memories- UK Version

I bought this phone for my mother-in-law who has dementia as the description stated that it had a one button press dial out function using the big keys on the base. The manual also states that you just pick up the phone and press one of the photo-buttons to instantly dial out. However, THIS IS NOT THE CASE, and the Geemarc customer helpline has confirmed that the manual is inaccurate. Instead the user needs to pick up the handset press the green button on it before pressing the photo-button on the base. Sadly this is too much for my mother-in-law who either forgets to press the green button or takes too long to press the photo-button and gets a recorded message from BT saying to hang up and redial. If it was not for this extra complication with dialling out, the phone would be perfect. The phone does have large buttons and is loud and easy to answer as you just pick it up off the base, so if you can manage with the green button then it is a good phone for the elderly.

Very quick delivery, these phones are perfect for my elderly parents, will recommend, the memory /picture buttons are a brilliant idea for those with short term memory, and for the hard of hearing, my fathers comment “I hear you loud and clear” 🙂
