I just had to write this as I found the Lifemax Home Safety Alert Lifemax Home Safety Alert absolutely brilliant. It has proved extremely useful many times since I bought it a few months ago. My wife is very disabled with Motor Neurone Disease (MND) and she has been able to alert me when she has required help. It is a well made product and I operate it on battery power. The batteries have lasted too.

With the couple of negative reviews on here I was a little apprehensive about buying this item. However after experiencing Amazon’s legendary return policy, I wasn’t deterred too much and decided to take the plunge.

I am extremely happy with the reception of this system. It works even when I’m in the attic bedroom and the base station is in the kitchen on the ground floor. I have installed it using 4x AA batteries, but I also bought the mains adapter Lifemax 672.1 Mains Adapter for Home Safety Alert so the batteries are only used if the power is out.

My wife is deaf and suffers from Cereberal Palsy and chronic Ménière’s disease. This item will put my mind at rest knowing she can call on me at any time, even if its just for a cuppa 🙂

I bought this for when my mother came home from hospital and needed a 24-hour alert facility — especially during the night.

It has adequate range for my mother’s 3-bedroom house, and has worked without fail.
When either lanyard button is pressed upstairs, it never fails to trigger the alarm module downstairs. (Ditto for when the lanyard is downstairs and the alarm module is upstairs.)

The Standard “call” button triggers a different alarm sound to the smaller emergency button, and is of adequate volume for normal use during the waking hours.
The smaller “emergency” button triggers a louder siren —- louder than most alarm clocks and sufficient to waken even a heavy sleeper during the night.

A well made and effective product — does what it is supposed to do.
